Goodbye July, thanks for the memories. Hello August! With a new academic school year approaching, many children will be moving to new classrooms in September. Please fill out a Fall sign up form located at the reception desk. Please feel free to discuss with your child's classroom teacher or Ms. Nancy if you have any thoughts or questions.
Each classroom, as well as each teacher at Future Scholars Preschool, brings a unique experience with creative opportunity for growth. Transitions can be a little scary for both parents and children. We are dedicated to supporting you and your child every step of the way. Moving to a new classroom can be fun and exciting but sometimes it can come with some stress. Our goal is to make the transitions as smooth as possible for all.
The children will continue to receive love, support and individual attention in their new classrooms. All our rooms work closely with their neighboring room so the children build a comfort level with other teachers and caregivers. This assists in smoother transitions.
We invite you to join Ms. Faith, from Faith's House of Style, on 8/28 at 9:00am for haircuts and styling in an environment where your child feels secure and comfortable. Haircuts for boys and girls are $10.00, bangs trimmed $3.00, braids $5.00 and Princess-Do's $10.00. Please make sure all gratuities are provided in cash the day of the haircut. As always, all proceeds go directly to Ms. Faith.
As the 2018/2019 school year officially begins, there will be a minimal tuition increase for all classrooms. Please see updated rates below. This increase assists us in maintaining the highest quality and on-going philosophy enhancements that Future Scholars Preschool is proud to offer their families

Camp FSP Reflection
It is hard to believe that summer camp is coming to an end. We've enjoyed the company of friends, learned new skills, explored science, music and arts and crafts.
Sensei Tim had us all bowing, kicking and practicing the very popular tiger pose and growl. The children are looking forward to receiving their white belt.
Science Monday was filled with excitement as we created a chemical reaction to make a colorful eruption. On a hot July day, we played in the snow! We made the snow-like substance by mixing baking soda and white hair conditioner. Our hair stood on ends, as we explored static electricity with Ms. Nancy.
The children's creativity shined through during Arts and Crafts with Ms. Nichole. They cut, glued, colored ans painted beautiful keepsakes.
With Ms. Karen, the children learned breathing techniques as they practiced the chair pose, downward dog and many other yoga positions. Ms. Karen incorporated music and poses to coincide with our Global Trotters program.
During music and movement, the children were excited to learn about and take turns playing a xylophone and to take part in a weekly sing-a-long with Ms. Lynda. Ms. Jessica had us moving, shaking and dancing to familiar songs and music from around the world.
In July, we had so much fun making our travel plans, discovering ways we can travel and getting our passports ready. We explored the sea life of the Mediterranean Sea and enjoyed Tapas for snack as we learned about Spain. We explore the Outback and went on a "Walk About" on our visit to Australia.
The adventure continues... In August, we will be exploring the history and cultures of Portugal, Mexico, England, Italy and Ireland. Through music, artifacts, language and natural wonders, we explore our precious world together.
As stated in FSP handbook, we will be closed Monday, September 3rd, and re-open Tuesday, September 4th in observance of Labor Day. We hope all our FSP families have a safe, family filled weekend as we honor the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.
From field to field, and desk to desk, your hard work is what makes our nation the best. Happy Labor Day www.7thought.com
