June Newsletter

Say Hello to Summer!

June is a special time here at Future Scholars Preschool.   Most memorable is our preschool graduation, a celebration and a childhood milestone.  It is a night to honor the Pre-Kindergartners for their achievements while surrounded by family and friends.  As this exciting time approaches, we do a lot of reflecting on the time we’ve had together and the memories we’ve created.  It is an honor to watch your children as they evolve and prepare for the net step in their “Journey of Life”.

Our Graduation date is June 21st, 2018 from 6:30-7:30pm.  There will be a Special Presentation from our Graduates, Hors d’oeuvres and Cake, a fun-filled night!  Bring your camera to capture special moments and to enjoy our “photo-op” room.

Happy Father’s Day – June 17th

Happy Father’s Day to all our very special Dads!  Every year, in the month of June, we get the opportunity to celebrate one of the most important people in our lives – our fathers.  Father’s Day is a great day to reflect on the importance of our fathers. We will be very busy creating thoughtful ways of sharing our love, respect and appreciation for all of our Dads and other special caregivers in your child’s life.  Dads, enjoy your day and know how much you are valued, loved and appreciated.

Gentle Reminders

  • With the warm weather approaching please switch out your child’s blanket to a lighter weight.
  • Please send drinks in sealed containers only: i/e juice boxes, juice pouches, milk boxes, small sealed water bottles.
  • If food is prepared at home and sent to school in a microwavable container we are able to re-heat.  Please no glass containers.

A car’s windows act like a greenhouse, trapping sunlight.  Cars parked in direct sunlight can reach temperatures from 131-172 degrees Fahrenheit.  In warm weather, a vehicle can warm to dangerous, life threatening levels in only 10 minutes. Just a gentle reminder, children and pets should not be left unattended in your vehicle.

Helpful Tips

  • Leave your purse or wallet near your child so you have to go to the backseat before leaving the car.                                                                                                                                        ]
  • Explore around the baby reminder app for the iPhone or iPad.   Explore around the Precious Cargo app that works with bluetooth.
  • Touch base when arriving to work with a family member, friend or co-worker as a check system.

Congratulations Graduates!
